In doing a touch-up we affect the surface minimally with the minimum amount of material, manually and in a fraction of the time. Replacing a veneered faced bulkhead involves lots of materials, wood, glues, varnish, dissolvents and machinery. Then there’s the collateral waste of energy, extraction, fabrication, production and transport from its origin.
We could only be more sustainable by not doing the repair.
